By 2010 all employers, large
or small, will be required by law to submit
their P35 annual payroll returns online.
Through legislation introduced
in May 2004, all employers face fines
of up to £5,000 per employee if
they do not adhere to the strict rules
covering the prevention of illegal workers
in the UK.
The Inland Revenue will
soon be implementing plans to make it
compulsory to quote addresses, dates of
birth and National Insurance numbers on
all documentation (P45s P46s P14s etc.)
submitted to them. Failure to comply will
attract financial penalties.
